How do the monthly payments work?

Your monthly payment covers up to 48 weekly private lessons over a 12-month period.You'll have a regular weekly lesson at your scheduled time. The 48 lessons are based on a full year of weekly lessons, excluding my 4 scheduled holiday weeks.Your monthly payment remains the same throughout the year, making your payments simple and predictable.

What happens during Kami's holiday?

I take 4 weeks of holiday throughout the 12-month period.I'll give you plenty of notice of these dates so that we can plan around them.You won't be charged for lessons during my holiday weeks.

Can I take holidays during the year?

Accepted Answer

Yes! I understand that students have holidays, school breaks and other commitments.Monthly students can take up to 6 additional weeks of holiday during their 12-month period.You can pause your subscription for these weeks, so you won't be charged for those lessons.These additional holiday weeks are optional — you don't need to use them if you don't need them.

What if I'm only away for one week?

You don't have to use one of your 6 holiday weeks.If you'd rather make up the lesson, you can move it to the week before or after your holiday and have two lessons in one week, subject to my availability.I'm happy to accommodate this where possible.

Can I have an extra lesson?

Accepted Answer

Yes. If you'd like an additional lesson, I can add one at your regular monthly lesson rate, rather than the PAYG rate.For example, if you normally have a 30 minutes lesson, an additional £20 would be charged at the equivalent lesson fee from the monthly rate.

Can I make my lesson longer?

Absolutely. If you'd like to have a longer lesson, the additional amount can either be invoiced separately or added to your next monthly payment.

What if I need to change my regular lesson time?

Your regular lesson time can be changed at any point, subject to availability. Simply let me know your preferred new day or time, and we'll work together to find a slot that works for both of us.

What's the difference between Monthly and PAYG?

Accepted Answer

Monthly Membership is designed for students who want regular weekly lessons. You have a reserved weekly lesson time and pay for 48 lessons over 12 months, with up to 6 additional holiday weeks available at no charge. Monthly students also receive access to the sheet music library and weekly music theory group class.PAYG (Pay As You Go) is more flexible and is ideal if you don't need a regular weekly lesson. You can book individual 30, 45 or 60-minute lessons whenever you need them, subject to availability. PAYG lessons are charged at a higher individual-lesson rate and don't include the additional Monthly Membership benefits.

What if I want to cancel my Monthly Membership?

I ask that students give at least one month’s notice wherever possible.If you let me know during your current month that you would like to cancel, we can normally arrange for your membership to end from the following month, provided the appropriate notice has been given.Any statutory cancellation or withdrawal rights that apply to your agreement remain unaffected.

What happens if my monthly payment doesn’t go through?

If a payment is declined or doesn’t go through, the payment system will automatically retry the payment and you’ll be notified.The system will continue attempting to collect the payment on subsequent days until the payment is successful.Lessons will be paused while a payment remains outstanding and will resume once the account is up to date.
